We have a large, heated pool, which is well-suited for swimming laps as well as for splashing in the water. We also have an outdoor hot tub spa along with steam rooms in the locker rooms. The tables, chairs and umbrellas on the pool patio were replaced in 2017 and provide areas to sunbathe or relax under the shaded breezeway.

2017 was also the year we completely renovated our playground to a level which exceeds most public parks. There is a shaded climbing structure, swings, and a shaded picnic area in an enclosed space where parents and nannies can relax while watching smaller children safely play outdoors. The playground also connects to our Kids Club, which is a free-standing facility with child-sized bathrooms, a small kitchenette, and an indoor space filled with donated toys and games.

The Shores has a half-court basketball court and four tennis courts. Two of the tennis courts are illuminated for evening play. Several Shores residents regularly meet for tennis matches and many hire outside tennis coaches to visit for private lessons. It is rare to find the courts completely empty, but it is also unusual to have people waiting to play.

The Shores is a guarded, gated community. There is an automated resident lane which allows residents with RFID stickers on their cars to quickly enter the community. Guests must show ID to a guard and appear on the guest list of the resident they are visiting. Residents can add or restrict guests using an online system which works via standard web browsers or a mobile app. This is the same system which controls access to our community facilities via electronic key fobs.

There are ten basic house designs in The Shores. These floor plans may be used as references, however individual house designs and specifications may vary due to builder or homeowner alterations.
